Wakefield artist Joyce Wood has studied her craft of watercolor since 1982. Artist membership includes New England Watercolor Society, North Shore Arts Association, and Rockport Art Association & Museum. Her work is included in many private and public collections across New England and beyond.

Since retirement from nursing in 2020, Joyce has pursued wildlife photography, a welcome addition to her creative process. She works in her studio from photos collected in the field and then proceeds to create impressionistic works of art depicting the landscape, architecture, and wildlife native to her area in Greater Boston.
